Garth Jennings Bio

Garth Jennings is a British actor, director, and screenwriter. He was born on March 4, 1972 in England. Films such as The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Son of Rambow, Sing, and Sing 2 are some of the movies that he has directed. Hammer & Tongs Productions was one of the companies he helped start. In 1993, Garth Jennings, Dominic Leung, and Nick Goldsmith established the production business Hammer & Tongs. Jennings was one of the co-founders of the company.

The primary responsibilities of the production firm were directing and creating music videos. Jennings was recognized with a nomination for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards for their work on the music video for the song “Lotus Flower” by Radiohead. Garth Jennings is responsible for the direction of a number of films, one of which being the science fiction comedy picture The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which was released in 2005. The film is based on earlier works in the media franchise of the same name, which Douglas Adams originated.
