 Martin Henderson is a well-known actor that hails from New Zealand. He was born on October 8th, 1974. He is known for his roles on the American medical drama series Off the Map as Dr. Ben Keeton (2011), the medical drama series Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Nathan Riggs (2015–2017), the Netflix romantic drama Virgin River as Jack Sheridan (2019–present), and for his performance as Noah Clay in the 2002 horror film The Ring, while he is still known in his home country for his teenage role as Stuart Neilson in the soap opera Shortland Street.

Henderson was born in Auckland, and at the age of thirteen, he made his acting debut in Strangers, a television production that was filmed locally in Auckland. Birkenhead Primary, Northcote Intermediate, and Westlake Boys High were among the educational institutions that he attended.  At the age of 17, he decided that acting would be a better career path for him than attending university.
