Evan Daugherty Fan Mail Address
American screenwriter Evan Daugherty was born in 1981. Killing Season, Snow White and the Huntsman, and the movie version of Divergent were all written by him. Shrapnel was Daugherty’s debut screenplay. It was selected as the best unproduced screenplay of 2008 and included on that year’s Black List. In addition to acting as writer, director, and editor for the 2007 Park City Film Music Festival Bronze Medal winner Rusty Forkblade, Daugherty also played the role as lead actor. In 2009, Warner Bros. announced that Kung Fu Panda filmmaker John Stevenson would be helming a new He-Man feature titled Grayskull, with Daugherty writing the story.
Universal Studios paid Daugherty $3.2 million for the rights to produce his original script for Snow White and the Huntsman. John Lee Hancock and Hossein Amini made changes to it afterwards. Daugherty’s professor at New York University gave him the task to “create a unique perspective on a famous fairytale,” which is where he got the concept for Snow White and the Huntsman. The Writers Guild of America claims that he wrote between 50 and 60 percent of the script, while Hancock and Amini wrote between 20 and 25 percent apiece. Daugherty rewrote the TMNT script. The film received five Golden Raspberry Award nominations in 2015, one of which was for Worst Writing. Paramount Studios was planning a third G.I. Joe picture, and Daughtery was set to direct. No new information has surfaced about his plans to create and executive produce Esmeralda, an adaptation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, for ABC. As of the 2018 release of Tomb Raider, he has provided content for the game.
